Altered bottles can be found in many places. I love the effect I found through Pinterest.
Start with a bottle that has intricate embossing. This makes for the best antiquing treatment.
First clean the glass.

Spray with Rustoleum Dark Bronze paint.

Make sure the Rustoleum paint is totally dry before continuing.
Paint over the Rustoleum with an indoor/ outdoor paint like Patio Paint.
I used a Verdigris color.
Again, make sure the paint is totally dry before continuing.

Using a fine sandpaper, take off a little of the green paint to show the dark bronze below. When you feel there is bronze showing through, take a slightly  heavier sandpaper to take off paint down to the glass. This gives your glass a lovely aged look.

Here is a Crown bottle done with the above treatment with embellishments added.

Hey Peeps. I am a crafter from way back. I've tried so many things! I love to try something new at least once a week, everyday would be even better!
My daughter Krista and I work on projects together and have a blast. Our newest project is Shrinky Dink jewelry. Beautiful results, easy to make. Although getting the rings to be circular is tricky. Look for the link to a tutorial on my accessories page. Try this at home or purchase from this website.
    Happy Crafting!
